What type of orders can be placed on Bit2Me PRO?

Modified on Fri, 6 Nov at 6:12 PM

Bit2Me Pro offers you four order types to trade in the cryptocurrency market, giving you greater control over your trades: MARKET, LIMIT, STOP-LIMIT, and OCO. Below, we explain each one.

MARKET order

A MARKET order is the fastest way to buy or sell.

  • It is executed at the best available price in the order book at the moment of the trade.
  • Execution is immediate.
  • It is important to know that the exact price is not guaranteed, as it can fluctuate slightly in volatile markets.

LIMIT order

A LIMIT order allows you to set a specific price for your trade.

  • You can buy or sell at a fixed price that you set. However, depending on market movements, you might get an even better price.
  • The order executes only when the market price reaches your set price or better.
  • Please note that execution is not guaranteed if the market price never reaches your limit price, or if, even after reaching it, there is not enough liquidity in the order book to fill the order.

STOP-LIMIT order

A STOP-LIMIT order is an advanced tool to manage your trades and risk.

  • You must set two prices: a STOP PRICE and a LIMIT PRICE.
  • When the market reaches your STOP PRICE, your order automatically turns into a LIMIT order. This means the order will attempt to execute at your specified limit price or better.

OCO order

An OCO order (One-Cancels-the-Other) allows you to set up a sale for a cryptocurrency you already own with two exit strategies simultaneously.

  • It combines a take profit—a LIMIT order that sells if the price rises to your chosen price—and a stop loss, a STOP-LIMIT order that is triggered if the price falls to your selected stop price.
  • As soon as one of the two executes, even partially, the other is automatically cancelled. This ensures you never sell the same balance twice.
  • It is a sell-only order and is available in selected markets on Bit2Me Pro.
  • Keep in mind that the sale is not guaranteed: once triggered, the stop loss will only sell at your limit price or better.

⚠️ IMPORTANT
  • All orders on Bit2Me Pro have a 30-day expiration period, after which they are automatically cancelled. If you have a partially filled order, the remaining unfilled portion will also be cancelled after 30 days, and the corresponding amount will be unlocked in your balance.
  • When you sell B2M, whether in Wallet or PRO, your progress in the Space Center Buy and hold € in B2M missions will decrease following the FIFO method. For more information, please see How does the FIFO method work in Buy and hold € in B2M missions?
