In this article, we explain step-by-step how to create a Rebalancing bot on Bit2Me Pro. This type of bot automatically buys and sells to maintain your portfolio at your defined target weights, selling what has become overweighted and buying what has fallen below, without you having to monitor the market.
Go to the BOTS section in the Bit2Me Pro menu and click the Create a BOT button.
In the Select bot panel, choose the Rebalancing option ("Automatic asset allocation"). This type of bot is designed for diversified portfolios in moving markets: it's ideal if you want to maintain a fixed mix (e.g., 50/30/20) and prefer discipline over trying to time each trade.
In the Configure bot panel, complete the following fields:
- Bot name: assign an identifiable name to easily recognize it among your bots.
- Quote currency: the reference currency for the portfolio (e.g., EUR). It is used to value assets and trade with them.
- Portfolio basket: add the assets that will make up your portfolio and indicate the Target % weight for each. You can have up to 5 tiers, including cash, and you need at least two. The percentage not assigned to cryptocurrencies will be held as cash in the quote currency.
- Initial funding: indicate the amounts with which the portfolio starts. These funds are transferred from your Bit2Me Pro account to the bot's wallet when it is created.
- Maximum deviation: choose how much an asset's weight can deviate from its target before the bot automatically rebalances (between 0.5% and 50%). Additionally, you can trigger a manual rebalance anytime from the bot's details.
Review the Bot summary shown on screen: portfolio allocation, initial funding, and configured maximum deviation.
Click the Create bot button to confirm creation. The bot is created in a stopped state, so when you're ready, click Start bot for it to begin rebalancing.
- To fund the portfolio, you need available funds in Bit2Me Pro (not in your Wallet) in the currencies you intend to contribute; if you don't have them, add them before creating the bot. The initial funding must reach a minimum value equivalent to 100 units of the quote currency (e.g., 100 EUR).
- The funds you contribute remain in the bot's own wallet, separate from your general Pro account balance. To add or withdraw funds, or to modify the bot's configuration, you must first stop it. When you delete the bot, the remaining balance returns to your Bit2Me Pro account.
- The bot will automatically buy and sell whenever an asset deviates from its target weight beyond the configured margin, until you manually stop it. Each operation is subject to Bit2Me Pro's usual trading fees.
