What is Bit2Me Junior and how does it work?
Bit2Me Junior is a standalone mobile app designed to help minors learn how to manage digital assets in a secure, supervised environment. It operates through a system of sub-accounts linked directly to the parent or legal guardian's account.
The primary goal is to promote financial literacy. Minors can view their balances and learn about crypto, while control always remains with the adult: the only source and destination for funds is the parent or legal guardian's account.
Who can activate Bit2Me Junior?
To be eligible to use Bit2Me Junior, the parent or guardian must meet the following requirements:
- Have a registered and verified account on Bit2Me.
- Be a resident of Spain.
How do I set up an account for my child?
The setup process is simple and is completed directly on the device the minor will use:
- Download the Bit2Me Junior app onto the minor's device.
- Log in using your standard Bit2Me credentials (those of the parent or guardian).
- Create the sub-account by entering the minor's first name, last name, date of birth, and email.
- Once finished, the session will remain permanently logged in so the minor can access it directly.
How do I send cryptocurrency to my child's account?
Transfers are not initiated from the Junior app, but rather from your main Bit2Me app. Simply select the cryptocurrency in your wallet, tap Send, and choose your child's Junior sub-account as the destination.
Because this is an internal transfer between your own linked accounts, it is instant and network fee-free. The minor will see the updated balance in real time.
Can the minor withdraw funds from the app?
The minor can request a withdrawal of their funds, but for security reasons, the only possible destination is your main Bit2Me account (parent or guardian). Sending funds to external addresses or third parties is not permitted.
- Even if the minor initiates a withdrawal, the transaction will not be completed until you, as the parent or guardian, authorize it by entering your 2FA security code in the Junior app. You always retain final control over outgoing transfers.
