Bit2Me Invest frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Bit2Me Invest is Bit2Me's investment funds service, designed to help you diversify your assets beyond cryptocurrencies directly from the same app. Here, you'll find answers to frequently asked questions that will assist you in your learning journey.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

  • Why is Bit2Me launching a platform with stocks, ETFs, and investment funds?

More than 70% of our users already invest in cryptocurrencies and traditional assets. Bit2Me Invest was created so they don't have to choose a platform based on the asset type: everything, regulated, and in one place. It's the natural next step in our evolution towards a complete financial services platform.

  • What are the buying/selling and custody fees?

Fees are transparent and competitive: €1 per operation plus a 0.35% execution fee. Furthermore, there is no custody fee during the first year of the service.

  • Which fund managers and how many funds will be available?

You'll have access to nearly 500 investment funds at launch, with periodic listings until they exceed 3,000, from major international fund managers: Amundi, AXA, Vanguard, DWS, Goldman Sachs, BNP, Pictet, BlackRock, UBS, Robeco, Morgan Stanley, and many more. The catalog ranges from the world's largest fund managers to specialized firms.

  • Is Bit2Me Invest a separate app or integrated into the current application?

No need to download anything new. Bit2Me Invest will be available directly within the same Bit2Me app you already use, with no additional registrations or changes to your usual experience. The service is also accessible from the Bit2Me web app.

  • What exclusive benefits do you offer for investment funds?

You get access to "clean" share classes, the versions of funds with the lowest TER, free from hidden fees or retrocessions that could reduce your profitability. Additionally, we give you access to institutional share classes, the same ones that on other platforms require minimum contributions of €100,000 or even €500,000. With Bit2Me Invest, the minimum contribution is zero: professional investment accessible to everyone.

  • What guarantees do I have as an investor?

Bit2Me Invest operates under MiFID II regulation, the European investor protection framework. All users also have coverage of up to €100,000 guaranteed by the Investment Guarantee Fund (FOGAIN). Your investment is protected with the same standards as any large regulated European broker.

  • Can I transfer funds from Wallet, PRO, or Earn directly to Invest?

Not currently. This functionality requires coordination with regulatory bodies, and we are actively working to make it possible in the future.

  • Can I cancel a subscription order once created?

It depends on the order's status. As long as the fund manager has not received it for processing, you can cancel it from the app. Once the manager receives it for processing, the order cannot be canceled. In that case, you would have to wait for it to settle and then request a fund redemption. This only applies to investment funds.

  • What is the suitability test, and what happens if I don't pass it?

The suitability test is a regulatory requirement that assesses your basic financial knowledge. It's important to know that failing the test does not block operations, as the investment funds available on Bit2Me Invest are not considered complex financial products. The test is informative, not discriminatory. This only applies to investment funds.

  • Will operations in Bit2Me Invest appear in the Tax report?

Yes. Bit2Me Invest will automatically report tax information to the competent authorities. Additionally, you will receive a quarterly and an annual report detailing the costs and expenses of your operations in the service. Furthermore, we are exploring the possibility of including this data in Bit2Me Tax for those who need to manage special tax situations.

  • Are transfers between funds taxable under IRPF?

No. Transfers between investment funds have a tax advantage: the capital gains generated are not taxed at the time of transfer but are deferred until the final sale. This differentiates them from stocks and ETFs, whose capital gains are taxed under IRPF at the time of sale.

  • What information appears on each fund's fact sheet?

Each fund's fact sheet includes relevant data such as ISIN, historical performance, risk level, TER (total expense ratio), assets under management, benchmark, legal documents (prospectus and KIID/DFI), as well as the cut-off time and settlement period.

  • What types of assets will be available in the future?

Bit2Me Invest plans to incorporate stocks, ETFs, and other asset types. Currently, the catalog focuses on "clean" and institutional share classes of investment funds, allowing access to conditions that on other platforms require minimum contributions of €100,000. The idea is to periodically add more stocks, more ETFs, and more investment funds.

  • Does signing the Bit2Me Invest contract have any cost?

No. Signing the Bit2Me Invest contract is completely free. Fees are only applied when you trade.
