How should you take the registration photos?

Modified on Fri, 9 Jan at 1:52 PM

To take the photographs correctly, you must pay attention to focus and light so that they are clearly legible. When taking photographs of the document, we recommend placing it on a table or a firm surface, as this will reduce movement in the image.

The verification process must be carried out with the camera of a mobile device; therefore, if you have started the process from a computer, at this point you must scan the QR code to continue the process from your mobile.

When starting the verification process, the first screen displays instructions to keep in mind. Before clicking on the button  Verify my identity , make sure to have the identification document accepted in your country of residence at hand. You can consult the valid documents in the following article: What type of documents are accepted for registration in Bit2Me?

When beginning the process, do not forget to activate and grant permissions to the camera of your device to take the 3 necessary photos:

  1. Front of the document. Center the front of the document within the frame you will see on the screen. The edges of the frame will turn green when the image is detected, and it will take the photograph automatically. When it has been correctly registered, a message will appear to prepare the back of the document. Click on  Continue .

  2. Back of the document. Frame the image within the frame until the edges turn green and the photograph is taken automatically. When it has been correctly registered, a message will appear to inform you of the next step. Click on  Continue .

  3. Facial recognition. To finish, frame your face within the oval frame and look at the camera so that your eyes are visible.

Recommendations

  • Before starting the process ensure you have correctly indicated the document you are going to photograph: nationality, issuing country of the document, and document type. If the information indicated does not match your document, the system will not read it correctly, thus rejecting your identity.
  • Photographs must be taken of the physical, original document in good condition.
  • Occasionally, verification needs to be reviewed manually, so we will contact you once it has been reviewed.
  • For facial recognition, the face should be clear to be more effective: pull back your hair and remove your glasses.
