How to take your registration photos

Modified on Fri, 30 Oct at 10:12 AM

To take the photos correctly, pay close attention to focus and lighting so that everything is clearly legible. When photographing your document, we recommend placing it on a flat table or a firm surface to avoid any camera shake.

The verification process must be completed using a mobile device camera. Therefore, if you started the process on a computer, you will need to scan the QR code at this stage to continue from your phone.

When starting the verification process, the first screen displays instructions to keep in mind. Before clicking the  Verify my identity  button, make sure you have an accepted ID document for your country of residence ready at hand. You can check valid documents in the following article: What documents are accepted for registration on Bit2Me?

When starting the process, remember to enable and grant camera permissions on your device to take the 3 required photos:

  1. Front of the document. Center the front of the document within the frame displayed on your screen. The frame's edges will turn green once the image is detected, and the photo will be taken automatically. Once captured successfully, a message will prompt you to prepare the back of the document. Click  Continue .

  2. Back of the document. Frame the image within the border until the edges turn green and the photo is taken automatically. Once captured successfully, a message will appear detailing the next step. Click  Continue .

  3. Facial recognition. Finally, fit your face within the oval frame and look straight at the camera, ensuring your eyes are clearly visible.

Recommendations:

  • Before starting the process, make sure you have correctly indicated the document you will photograph: nationality, issuing country, and document type. If the details provided do not match your document, the system will not read it correctly and your verification will be rejected.
  • Photos must be taken of the physical, original document in good condition.
  • Occasionally, verifications need to be reviewed manually; we will contact you once the review is complete.
  • For facial recognition, your face should be unobstructed for best results: pull your hair back and remove your glasses.
