How does Bit2Me Earn work with B2M token?

Modified on Mon, 1 Sep at 12:28 PM

In Bit2Me Earn, you have 4 different options at your disposal to grow your B2M Token funds and earn rewards. Each of these options offers you different conditions, allowing you to adapt your earnings (APY) to the amount of B2M you contribute, your Space Center level, and the lock-up period you choose.

What do you need to know?

B2M Pools

To earn passive income from your B2M funds, you can add your tokens to one or several Pools, and even have all 4 active simultaneously:

  • Flexible Pool: This Pool has no lock-up conditions. You can add and withdraw your B2M whenever you want. It was the first Pool available since the launch of B2M on Earn.

  • 3-Month Lock-up  Pool: Your B2M will be subject to a 3-month lock-up period.

  • 6-Month Lock-up Pool: Your B2M will be subject to a 6-month lock-up period.

  • 12-Month Lock-up Pool: Your B2M will be subject to a 12-month lock-up period.

Important: Adding funds to a Lock-up Pool will increase the APY (Annual Percentage Yield) you get. The longer period you choose to lock your B2M, the higher the APY you will receive.

B2M Farming Pools: Where do your rewards come from?

B2M token has a supply of 5 billion tokens, of which certain amounts are designated for different uses as described in the whitepaper.

Part of these funds are allocated to 3 different Farming Pools for the B2M token:

  1. Base Pool:
    • A fund of 50 million B2M.

    • Rewards are distributed proportionally among ALL B2M funds deposited in Earn by users, whether in the Flexible Pool or in any of the Pools with lock-up periods.

  2. Space Pool:

    • A fund of 100 million B2M.

    • It is distributed proportionally among all B2M funds deposited in Earn belonging to users with Space Center level 1 or higher, regardless of whether the funds are in the Flexible Pool or in Staking Pools.

    • The higher your Space Center level, the higher the APY you will get, which means a larger share of the total 100 million B2M.

  3. Lockup Pool:
    • A fund of 100 million B2M.

    • Exclusive to B2M funds in Earn that are in one of the Lock-up Pools (3, 6, or 12 months). The Flexible Pool does not participate in this distribution.

How the APY is calculated and its variable nature

The APY system in a Farming Pool format means that the more B2M deposited in a Pool, the lower the APY distributed among the funds in that same Pool. This is because the total amount to be distributed is fixed; if the number of participants (and therefore the amount of B2M) in a Pool increases, the individual portion decreases.

This dynamic makes the APY flexible and variable. You could start with an APY of 20.36% and, months later, this APY could increase to 30% or decrease to 15%, depending on the overall activity of the Pool.

Practical example of your APY calculation

To illustrate how the APY you receive is composed, here is a simulated example:

Imagine a user with Level 4 in Space Center adds funds to the 6-Month Lock-up Pool. The system indicates that he will get an APY of 9.50%. Internally, this APY would be broken down as follows:

  • 2% comes from the Base Pool.

  • 3% is obtained from the Space Pool, thanks to his Level 4.

  • 4.5% is added from the Lockup Pool, for having the funds locked for 6 months.

This breakdown ensures that users with a higher level in Space Center always receive more B2M as a reward than those with a lower level. Similarly, funds in Staking Pools with longer periods will get higher rewards than those with shorter periods.

Security of your funds

As an additional layer of security, the funds from Bit2Me's Farming Pools are always stored in insured cold wallets thanks to our agreement with Ledger Enterprise. This technology associated with Bit2Me combines hardware, firmware, and software to provide a new 'security layer' to our company, eliminating any possibility of "man-in-the-middle" attacks and protecting your assets with the highest standards.
