In a "Buy and hold € in B2M" mission, Space Center tallies all purchases you make in both Wallet and Bit2Me Pro, considering the € amount paid rather than the quantity of B2M acquired. Once the mission is completed, you must keep your B2M in Wallet or Earn to avoid losing points. This means that even if the market price of B2M increases or decreases, the € amount required to complete the mission will remain the same.
'Buy and hold € in B2M' missions do not expire, but if you sell B2M, your mission balance will decrease, potentially causing you to lose points and drop a level. Since a mission's progress in Space Center is tied to the amount of € spent and not the market price of B2M, when you sell B2M, the progress of your Buy and hold missions will decrease following the FIFO method (First In, First Out).
With the FIFO method, if you make a sale, the total progress or balance of a mission will decrease in the order each purchase was made. This reduction is calculated using the price set at the time of purchase, for example:
If you buy 10 B2M with 10€, 10€ will be added to the mission, setting the value of each B2M at 1€. If you then sell 5 B2M, regardless of the B2M market value, 5€ will be subtracted from the mission (because the B2M value was set at 1€ for that mission).
If you make multiple purchases, Space Center will set a price for the quantity of B2M you acquired in each one. Therefore, when you sell B2M, the euro value subtracted from the mission will follow the order set for each distinct purchase. For example:
If you buy 10 B2M with 10€, 10€ will be added to the mission, setting the B2M value at 1€. On another day, you buy 10 B2M with 5€, adding another 5€ to the mission and setting the B2M value for this purchase at 0.5€.
Subsequently, you sell 15 B2M. Regardless of the B2M market value, 12.5€ will be subtracted from your mission. This is because 10 B2M are accounted for at a value of 1€, and the remaining 5 B2M from the second purchase are valued at 0.5€.
The final balance of the previous mission will be 2.5€. This way, we achieve a much fairer and more equitable method for all users and all market conditions.
The goal of implementing this system is to ensure that, as B2M is a utility token, the incentives linked to it are independent of market fluctuations.
