How to create a purchase order

Updated on Thu, 21 Mar, 2024 at 10:26 AM

Purchase orders allow you to set a purchase price of a particular cryptocurrency.

You can access this functionality from the blue "Make transactions" button on the screen of each cryptocurrency or from the "Transactions" menu (blue square button) on the home screen and continue with the following steps:

  1. Click on buy option.
  2. Select "Purchase order".
  3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to buy (only if you access from the Transaction button on the home screen).
  4. Indicate the price at which you want to be executed the purchase.
  5. Enter the amount you want to buy.
  6. Finally, a screen will pop up with the summary of the purchase order that you must accept in order to finish the process.

IMPORTANT

  • It is not possible to create purchase or sell orders with a price less than 2% variation with respect to the current price. For example, if the price of Bitcoin is currently €25,000 and we want to create a purchase or sell order, we have to indicate a price greater than €26,250 or less than €23,750. The reason for this limitation is to reduce the risk of instant execution of an order due to unfavorable market conditions such as low liquidity or high volatility.
  • In the same way, purchase or sell orders are limited to 100% higher or 50% lower than the current price. For example, if the price of  Bitcoin is €25,000 the maximum range in which we can create an order will be between €12,500 and €50,000.
  • In order to set a purchase order you must have enough balance in your euro wallet.
  • Scheduled purchase orders are valid for 90 days. If not executed, the purchase order will be deleted automatically .

Purchase/sell orders are an advanced tool to buy or sell cryptocurrencies. In order to use it, you must be aware of its risks.

Purchase/sell orders are not limit orders and therefore the final purchase or sell price may vary from the price indicated in the purchase or sell condition. This is because the operation is as follows: when the cryptocurrency reaches the price indicated in the purchase or sell condition, a market order is executed with the desired amount to buy and therefore will be affected by the liquidity of the market at that time as well as volatility.
