How to activate the access PIN for the app?

Modified on Fri, 9 Jan at 1:39 PM

Activating the access PIN for the mobile APP will ensure that to access the Bit2Me application from your mobile, a 6-digit PIN code is requested. Since cookies can memorize the username and password to access the application from your device, this security layer will prevent entry to your account from the APP by people who have access to your device, thus maintaining the privacy of your accounts and movements.

To activate the access PIN for the APP follow these steps:

  1. From the APP, tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner and from the main menu access the Profile and configuration menu.
  2. In the security block, activate the access PIN option.

  3. Enter a 6-digit access code that you can remember (it will be requested every time you access the app).

  4. Confirm the 6-digit access code by entering it again and DONE!.

Once you have configured the access PIN, you will be suggested to activate biometric access. You can activate it by pressing the button  Activate biometric access  or tap on "set it up later" if you prefer to have only the PIN configured.

Important: The PIN and biometric access configuration is stored in the cookies of the application installed on the device, so they will only be valid for access from that device through the application. If, having activated the PIN or biometric access on your mobile device, you access from another device or from the web, the usual procedure will be requested for access: email and password, 2FA/SMS and authorizing the device via email.
