Two-factor authentication offers additional security during the login process, extra security that is recommended to keep your funds and investments as safe as possible.
This extra layer of security, enabled through the Google Authenticator app, will generate 6-digit one-time verification codes valid for 60 seconds to verify transactions or account access.
Before enabling this extra layer of security, you will need to download the following app on your device:

Once the app is installed on your device, follow these steps:
- Access your Bit2Me account from the app or from a PC via the web.
- From the Mobile APP, access the profile and settings menu from the side menu.
- From the web, access the profile and settings menu by clicking on the profile photo or icon in the top right corner.
- In the profile and settings menu, click on the Google Authenticator option you'll find in the security section.
- On the first screen (1/4), carefully read the provided information and click on Continue .
- To verify the activation of this security layer, you will receive a 4-digit SMS to the phone number registered with Bit2Me. Enter the SMS code that will be requested on screen to securely confirm the operation and click on Continue again.
- On the next screen (2/4), the steps to follow will be indicated. Without clicking the continue button, open the Google Authenticator app.
- In the Google Authenticator app, click on the + button that appears in the bottom right corner and:
- If you have accessed Bit2Me from a PC: Scan the QR code that will be on the Bit2Me screen.
- If you have accessed Bit2Me from the app: Manually enter the secret key that appears on the Bit2Me screen.
- Once the QR code has been scanned or your secret key has been manually entered into the Google Authenticator app, return to window (2/4) of the Bit2Me app, check the box "I have added my secret key to Google Authenticator" and click on the Continue button.
- On screen (3/4) of the Bit2Me app, enter the 6-digit code that the Google Authenticator app is generating for you and click on Continue .
- On the last screen (4/4), you must carefully read and follow the indicated recommendations. Check the box "I have added my secret key to Google Authenticator" and click on Continue to finish.
Important: We recommend enabling synchronization to save a backup of your codes to your Google account. |
