I've lost my Bit2Me account 2FA

Modified on Wed, 19 Aug at 2:12 PM

2FA (two-factor authentication) is an essential security layer to protect your account and funds. If you lose access, recovery guidelines must be strictly followed to ensure only you can regain access.

If you change phones, lose it, or simply need to access your codes on another device, follow these instructions:

1. If you use Google Authenticator for two-factor authentication (2FA), your codes are automatically stored in your Google account's cloud. To access them, you'll find all the step-by-step information in our article: How to recover your Bit2Me account's second factor (2FA)?

2. If your codes haven't been stored or you can't recover them, and therefore can't access your account, follow these steps to request 2FA recovery:

Our team will guide you through the process so you can regain access to your account as soon as possible.

If you receive unsolicited 2FA codes or SMS messages related to your account, it could be a phishing attempt*. To protect your account:

  • Do not open unknown links, do not share codes or sensitive information, and do not call unofficial numbers.
  • Only contact us through official channels (Bit2Me APP or website) and/or via Bit2Me's official phone number: +34 910 913 788.
  • Change or reset your password immediately.
  • Keep 2FA active (or activate it if you haven't already) to strengthen security.
  • Open a support ticket through official channels so our security team can review the case and take action when necessary.
