Is Bit2me a Bank?

Updated on Thu, 25 Mar, 2021 at 5:15 PM

The simple answer is "No." So what is Bit2Me?

Taking advantage of the technological advances of the last two decades, at Bit2Me we have looked for an alternative solution to the usual banking, in order to offer you most of the services that banks have, working with different providers.

This is commonly known as a "neobank." But Bit2Me is not a traditional "neobank", we wanted to progress even more: Bit2Me has managed to merge traditional money with new types of money, such as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

At this point we like to call us "crypto bank", without forgetting that we are not a bank. To ensure that your money is safe and that all the legal requirements are met, we work with an Electronic Money Entity regulated by the Bank of Spain, which allows us to create Bit2Me accounts and issue associated cards which you can pay with in any country of the world and withdraw money at ATMs.

For that reason, we have created a technology ecosystem in which you would not notice the difference as a user. Your money is safer than anywhere else, since we do not do business with it, and we offer you an account with a user experience superior to any Traditional Bank.
