How do I set up PIN or biometric access to access the APP?

Modified on Wed, 17 Sep at 12:00 PM

If you want to maintain secure access to the Bit2Me mobile application, you can set up an access PIN code or biometric access to log in with your fingerprint or facial recognition. This way, every time you open the mobile application, you will be asked for the PIN, your fingerprint, or your facial recognition, preventing someone from accessing your account if they take your mobile, you lose it, or it is stolen.

To set it up, follow these steps:

  1. From the APP, open the dropdown menu by tapping on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.

  2. Go to the Profile and settings section, the first option that will appear highlighted with your full name.

  3. In the Profile and settings menu, in the Security block, activate the access PIN or Biometric access:
    • To activate the access PIN, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit code twice.

    • To activate Biometric access, you must have a PIN set up first. If you tap the button to activate biometric access and you don't have a PIN set up yet, you will be prompted to activate it first.

  4. Once configured, you will see the access PIN and biometric access buttons marked in green.

Important: The PIN code or biometric access is only configured for access from the mobile application on the device where you have set it up. If your account is accessed from another device, you will be asked for: Username and password and the second authentication factor via SMS or the application with which you have configured it.
