What is the difference between a PIN and a secret code?

It's important to remember two sets of numbers: your Bit2Me Card's PIN for in-store purchases when prompted, and your secret code for validating online purchases and/or viewing card details (CVV, expiration date, PIN).

Your Bit2Me Card PIN, or Personal Identification Number, is a four-digit code you use to verify that you are the cardholder. Like a signature, it's used to confirm your identity and helps protect you against fraud. This code is required when you make a cash withdrawal at an ATM and when you make a purchase with your Bit2Me Card at physical stores.

The secret code is an at least eight-digit code used as a password for all your Bit2Me Cards, to authorize online purchases of 50 euros or more, to view your CVV and expiration date, and to view your card's PIN.

To view your card details (CVV, expiration date, and PIN), you will need to enter the 6-digit code you receive via SMS from Pecunia (or, if you have Push notifications enabled, directly on screen) and then the secret code you have configured.
