What is the Double Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication provides additional security in the login process, extra security that is recommended to keep your funds and investments as safe as possible.

This extra layer of security, activated through the Google Authenticator application, will generate single-use 6-digit verification codes valid for 60 seconds to verify transactions or access to your account.


In order to activate this extra layer of security, you have to download the following application to your device:

Once the app is installed on your device, please follow the steps below:

  1. Access your Bit2Me account from the APP or via web.
    • If you access from the Mobile APP, go to profile and settings menu from the side menu.
    • If you access from the web, go to profile and settings menu by clicking on the profile picture or icon in the upper right corner.

  2. In the profile and settings menu click on the Google Authenticator option in the security section.

  3. Read carefully the information provided on the first screen (1/4) and click on  Next .

  4. In order to verify the activation of this security layer you will receive a 4-digit SMS to your registered phone number in Bit2Me. Enter the 4-digit code and click on  Next .

  5. The next screen (2/4) will show you the steps you need to follow. Do not click yet on next button and open the Google Authenticator app.

  6. In the Google Authenticator app click on the + button that appears in the lower right corner:
    • If you have accessed Bit2Me from a PC: Scan the QR code on the Bit2Me screen.
    • If you have accessed Bit2Me from the APP: Manually enter the secret key that appears on the Bit2Me screen.

  7. Once you have scanned the QR code or manually entered your secret key in the Google Authenticator app, go back to the Bit2Me app window (2/4), check the box “I have added my secret key in Google Authenticator” and click on the  Next  button.

  8. Enter on screen (3/4) of Bit2Me app the 6-digit code that the Google Authenticator will be generating and click on  Next .

  9. In the last screen (4/4) you should read carefully and follow the recommendations indicated. Check the box “I have added my secret key in Google Authenticator and click on  Next  button in order to finish.
