In order to send a token over the Algorand network the blockchain requires that each ALGO address has a minimum balance of 0.1 ALGO in the destination wallet. In other words, for every ASA (Algorand Standard Assets) token you add to your wallet, the minimum ALGO balance has to increase by 0.1 ALGO. So, for example, if you have ALGO and two other ASA tokens in your wallet, your minimum balance must be at least 0.3 ALGO.
Algorand's network requires minimum balances to prevent spam transactions and accounts from network saturation. ASA tokens run on Algorand's network taking advantage of its high speed, security and low transaction cost.
